What we love the most about Wondercon is that the atmosphere is very relaxed. You can also discover so many new things that you would sometimes miss out on. We took a lot of pictures from the Artist Alley / Small Press area which we focused on a quite a bit this year. Check out our slideshow below to view pics from the show this year.

Wondercon Anaheim 2017
Wondercon was back in Anaheim this year which we were happy to hear. Last year it was at the Los Angeles Convention Center. We are always hoping that Wondercon would come back to San Francisco but it doesn't look like it ever will. Wondercon is a smaller version of San Diego Comic Con. It's less crowded and you can really take your time and see the whole exhibit floor in one day. You can spend time talking to your favorite artist or vendor that was exhibiting.
We've always been a fan of Wondercon and have been going every year going all the way back to when they were originally in Oakland. This was before they joined CCI.
We had an awesome time at Wondercon this year and picked up a few must have items for ourselves. Wondercon has been getting bigger every year and there's so much to see and do.
We have a fun little story of getting stuck on a shuttle bus for an extra 15-20 minutes. The shuttle driver was taking us back to the Honda Center Parking Lot and made a wrong turn into a parking lot that was not made for big buses to enter and maneuver in. The driver was an excellent driver and didn't hit anything. It was a close call on some turns but that was an adventure.
If you have been putting off going to Wondercon, you really shouldn't. It's a great show and it is a smaller show than SDCC but gives you a little taste of it. We'll see you next year!
